December 1st is World AIDS day! On this date each year organizations and volunteers join forces to increase HIV awareness, fight against the stigma and take one step closer toward ending the world epidemic. This is why the “Reproductive health and AIDS” committee and the Varna “Prevention” department will provide students with the opportunity to get tested for HIV antibodies with a free rapid diagnostic test. The medical examination will be performed painlessly by using peripheral blood from the finger and the anonymous results will be available after 15 minutes. You can visit our mobile testing center from 09:00 – 13:00 on 01.12 in the front yard of the main university building (rectorate) without a prior appointment.
Additionally, we will be expecting you at our discussion “HIV – prevention, screening and professional risk”, which we will host with Biserka Alexieva- program manager for HIV/AIDS prevention of the “Prevention” department in Varna. The discussion will be broadcast live on WebEx at 18:00 on December 1st. You will receive an email with the link for the meeting after you sign up, using the Google form below.
See you on Wednesday!
